Paediatrics

Dr Kandasamy completed his specialty paediatric training in Australia, with a wide breadth of clinical experience across Australia and the United Kingdom. He is particularly interested in newborns and early childhood, to ensure every child has the best chance to healthily grow and develop.

Newborns

Dr Kandasamy has an interest in all aspects of neonatology and has a broad experience in newborn care, including having worked in the neonatal intensive care units at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, and Royal Darwin Hospital.

Feeding, growth and development

Challenges in feeding, growth, and development, often arise in early childhood. Early identification and intervention in this period is key to giving your child the best opportunity to thrive. If there are any concerns with your child’s growth or development Dr Kandasamy will develop a comprehensive plan of management and review, tailored to your child.

Behaviour

Behavioural issues or concerns can arise at anytime. Dr Kandasamy is very familiar with the diagnosis and management of childhood behavioural disorders.

Immunisations

Immunisation forms a core part of the early childhood health programme in Australia and as such parents who want to make an informed decision about their child’s immunisations are encouraged to arrange a consultation to discuss in detail the immunisations which form the routine schedule and any that are available privately, for example the Meningococcal B vaccine. (Immunisations can be given at the practice on the day of consultation).
